We’re investing in a full refurbishment of The Chambers, which will soon be renamed The Chronicle, in Barnsley Town Centre. This project will transform the pub inside and out, giving it a modern look to appeal to both locals and visitors. The venue will offer live sports during the day and a lively atmosphere in the evenings with entertainment like live music, DJ sets, and karaoke, all while keeping the drinks competitively priced.

Applicants should be aware that all refurbishments are subject to final board approval which will be determined as part of the leasing process.
Where a significant investment is made in a pub by Star Pubs & Bars, an "Investment Exemption" will be required. The exemption means that the option of a Market Rent Option lease won't be available at rent review for a period of up to seven years for this site, as per The Pub Code (2016).
