The Royal Oak sits within the market town of Malton - an area which is well located for various attractions such as Flamingo Park and Castle Howard. The community has a leafy, country feel to it and the residents consist of mainly families and mature professionals. The pub itself has a prime location within the area and sits within a square close to a variety of shops and other businesses.

Currently, the pub offers a classic pub grub menu but makes most of its trade through drinks sales. There is scope with The Royal Oak to develop the food offer into something more modern with a premium menu. Entertainment is also offered at the weekends - this is another aspect of the pub which could be developed to broaden appeal. There is the added bonus of a beer garden to the rear - this space has the potential to become a hot sport during the warmer summer months.

Trading Area & Facilities

Inside, the pub is laid out in an open plan style which allows an operator to create separate spaces from both drinking and dining. The catering kitchen onsite is a a good size.

There is also a large beer garden on site, along with a car park.

The private accommodation is of a good size set over two floors and consists of bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom, and lounge. Where required there will be appropriate works carried out in line with the Star Pubs & Bars Ready to Trade Promise.
