The Hesketh in Cheadle Hulme reopens after revamp and 18 month closure

The Hesketh, closed since July 2022, reopens today as a family friendly community local under new management and with a new food menu following a £350,000 revamp by HEINEKEN owned Star Pubs.

The changes to the pub include a new games area with illuminated darts, pool table, HD TV, open fire and high tables and stools; a dining area with wood burner; and a bar with a mix of free standing and new leather button back banquette style seatingThe pub has also had a top-to-toe redecoration. 

Outside there’s been a revamp with additional seating added for alfresco eating and drinking.

New publicans, Pawel Galazka and Rafal Zejmo want the pub to become the beating heart of the community and are looking for people to join the pub’s pool and darts teams.   They also intend hosting regular quiz nights, a monthly comedy night and regular music.   And for those who love Halloween, plans are underway for a Halloween party at the end of the month.

We’re starting as we mean to go on this weekend with offers and entertainmentWe’ve got a Fish Friday offer - £12.50 for fish & chips and a drink, and live music on Saturday and Sunday evenings – both acoustic guitaristsWe’ve also got a range of drinks offers and will be serving a menu of pub classics including a selection of piesOur Sunday roast however won’t start until November.”

Says Star Pubs Business Development Manager Matt Savage: “It’s great to be giving residents of Cheadle Hulme their pub back after it has been closed for so long.  I am delighted that Pawel and Rafal have taken on The HeskethThey’re experienced publicans with a real understanding of what people want from a local community pub.  I had a sneak preview last night and having seen them in action and the new look pub, I am sure The Hesketh will go from strength to strength.

The opening times at The Hesketh are 12-11pm Monday to Thursday, 11.00 - 1am Friday and Saturday and 11am till 11pm on Sunday.
