The Golden Lion is nestled between the busy B6388 which hosts a wide variety of high street outlets and Sheffield United's Premier League football stadium. The site attracts a great volume of footfall due to this on a daily basis, and is very popular with fans during big home matches. The area has 12,000 adults within a 10 minute walk - with a mixture of mature workers, families and students making up the population.

We are looking for the next operator of the Golden Lion to maximise the popularity of this fantastic community site during match days by extending the occasion with pre and post-match events. There is a great opportunity here to diversify the current clientele to include the high volume of students in the area. Pub games such as pool and darts are popular - the retaining of the current sports teams will be important for the pub's next operator. Entertainment and events will be key at this pub and an appealing calendar of events such as quizzes and live music should be considered.

Our Just Add Talent agreement is perfect for a first time pub operator. You may be from a management background in hospitality or retail - what matters is your passion for great customer service and your ability to lead and motivate a team of staff. Prior experience in a team leadership role will be essential. A knowledge of the local area will also be preferred for this pub.

Just Add Talent is a lower risk and high support agreement which offers a 'foot in the door' to the leased and tenanted industry. With fixed in goings of only £4,000, you will be given the support and training you need to develop your skills and run a successful pub with Star Pubs & Bars.

The Golden Lion is a fantastic community site located right beside a busy high street and a popular football ground - we need its next operator to create unique events in the site due to its location, and maximise sales with each and every customer who enters the site. There is plenty of opportunity to diversify the pubs current customers and maximise sales during a range of new engaging events. There is also a great outdoor trading area that could be great for a cold drink during those summer months!

Trading Area & Facilities

Inside, the pub is spacious and is split into two different levels with 100 + seats available. There is a space dedicated solely to pub games such as pool and darts. The interior design of the pub is traditional and welcoming.

Outside, there is a great beer garden with around 50 available seats which is great for a cold drink during those summer months, and there is on-street car parking nearby.

Private accommodation consists of two bedrooms, living room, kitchen and bathroom. In line with our Ready To Trade Promise, we will ensure that your living accommodation is to a good standard so that you can focus on getting your business right.
