A Bit of the Big Bad Apple in Knutsford

A Bit of the Big Bad Apple in Knutsford

Striking urban graffiti, bare walls and neon lights are all part of the laidback, industrial, down and dirty feel that the New Moon Company, headed up by award-winning restaurateur Paul Newman and Celebrity Chef Patron David Mooney, sought to recreate when they opened the Bronx Bar and Pizzetteria in Knutsford.

A million miles from your conventional family focused pizza joint, the edgy cocktail-led bar stands out from the crowd in a town awash with restaurants. Experienced mixologists offer New York style cocktails that are complemented with their unique food offering – small pizzas called pizzettas. With 14 different pizzetta options to choose from, including gluten free pizza bases, there is surely something for everyone.

The Bronx Bar is not entirely limited to it’s extensive menu offering as it is making its stamp in Knutsford with various evening activities and events including a weekly ladies’ night, live music from local musicians and DJs as well as cocktail nights.

On top of the different events and entertainment that the bar provides on a weekly basis, they also offer private event hire for up to 50 people. They have also begun to offer a range of master classes with their very own bartenders so you too can learn how to make their signature cocktail creations or learn top tips of the trade.

In just a few months, it has become one of Cheshire’s must visit eateries. Founder, Paul Newman said: “We’ve created the hip hop sounds and the taste and feel of New York. When you’re in The Bronx, you’re transported to the cool laid-back vibe of the borough. Its late night license, New York edgy cocktail menu and raw gritty appeal, make it totally unlike anything in Knutsford.”
